Cambodia-Japan Partnership: New Regional Hospital Project Secures Multimillion-Dollar Funding

*Phnom Penh, March 13, 2024:* In a significant move to fortify healthcare collaboration, Cambodia and Japan have sealed a substantial loan agreement earmarked for the development of a regional hospital. The loan, valued at 21,104 million yen (approximately USD 154 million), underscores Japan's steadfast commitment to bolstering Cambodia's socio-economic advancement through enhanced healthcare infrastructure.

This landmark collaboration signifies not only a significant investment in healthcare but also solidifies the enduring partnership between the two nations. Following their elevation to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2023, this initiative marks a pivotal step towards realizing mutual goals of progress and prosperity.

Scheduled to be formally signed on March 13, 2024, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the agreement symbolizes a joint endeavor to uplift medical facilities in Cambodia.
